Job Description:

We are looking for an ambitious Preparation/Assistant Cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.

A great prep cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

 Job Duties:

  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.                      
  • Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.                      
  • Prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, or desserts, according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures.                       
  • Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers.                         
  • Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving.                    
  • Maintain clean and orderly kitchen areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as mopping floors and emptying trash cans.

Shifts:

Monday - Friday

  • Breakfast: 6am - 2:30pm
  • Lunch: 11am - 7:30pm
  • Dinner: 2:30pm - 11pm

Saturday

  • Breakfast: 6am - 2:30pm
  • Lunch: 11am - 7:30pm
  • Dinner: 3:30pm - 11pm

Sunday

  • Lunch: 10am - 6:30pm
  • Dinner: 2:30pm - 11pm

 *Shifts include a 30-minute lunch break. Employees can be scheduled between these hours.
